Where do all the cool people celebrate their 40th birthdays?
Colorado Springs, of course. Not only did I celebrate my 40th
there last October, but I returned nine months later for a party
for my good buddy Susan Edmondson, who took the bull by the
horns and decided to host her own 40th birthday bash. And
what a bash it was: A few days before the party, we ran into
one of Susan's friends who informed us that her little shindig
was already the talk of the city. This special Susan Section
includes three pages of party highlights, a page devoted to
non-birthday road trips and general Colorado Springs
carousing, a Pikes Peak page and -- in an added bonus -- a copy
