SUSAN'S 40TH
Where do all the cool people celebrate their 40th birthdays?
Colorado Springs, of course. Not only did I celebrate my 40th
there last October, but I returned nine months later for a party
for my good buddy Susan Edmondson, who took the bull by the
horns and decided to host her own 40th birthday bash. And
what a bash it was: A few days before the party, we ran into
one of Susan's friends who informed us that her little shindig
was already the talk of the city. This special Susan Section
includes three pages of party highlights, a page devoted to
non-birthday road trips and general Colorado Springs
carousing, a Pikes Peak page and -- in an added bonus -- a copy
of the now-infamous "Susan Slideshow."
Fun and (trivia) games
Quick: What's Susan Jane
Edmondson's middle name? These
perplexing questions and more delight
partygoers at The Warehouse.
Susan: The Untold Story
If you have a high-speed Internet
connection and Windows Media
Player, take a gander at the slide
show that critics are calling almost
as shocking as "The Aristocrats"!
But wait! There's more!
Why settle for one birthday
party when you can score two?
On the actual anniversary of
her birth, Susan and nephew
John enjoy a joint celebration.
Colorado cool
There's more to life than Susan's birthday, of course:
These pics include trips to Denver, Central City, Pueblo
and a field trip to the headquarters of Focus on the Family.
Train to the top
Donald journeys to the top of Pikes
Peak via the world-famous cog railway.
At the top he winds up taking pictures
of other tourists.

Dance the night away
Either that, or Susan's dress is on fire. This second page of
official Susan party coverage includes cavorting, canoodling
and even canoeing. (What happens in the Springs stays in the
Springs.) Added side-show bonus: See Susan posing with the
mysterious creature known as the Two Barbs!
