JULY 2006: BAY AREA ROAD TRIP
A super-duper San Francisco mini-vacation
started with dropping off Dawn Marie
McIntosh in Gilroy to visit with her horse,
Orion. Once in the city, a beautiful room in
the Hilton Financial District had a view of the
Bay -- the perfect backdrop for a take-out
Chinese meal.
Left, Ann Catrina Kligman checks out David's parallel
parking skills. (They're pretty high.) Below, the hotel
for nights two and three is the Hyatt San Francisco
Airport.
At the de Young Museum in San Francisco, Cheech
Marin's Chicano exhibition is a wonder. Below,
Shane points out some of the highlights of the
museum's permanent collection.
A view from San
Francisco's Golden
Gate Park, from the
Japanese garden.
Shane opts for a mini-vacation
manicure and pedicure in a salon
near Golden Gate Park. Ouch!
Capping off the trip: a
performance of the national
tour of "Rent."
